Just got my tongue pierced...are my spit glands supposed to be sore?!
Question: Just got my tongue pierced!.!.!.are my spit glands supposed to be sore!?
the top of my tongue doesn't hurt just under my tongue is alittle sore from the clamps!. but my problem is that sometimes when i go to swallow i feel a pain in my glands the ones right under your jaw(where it tingles when you eat sour stuff)!.
did anybody else experience this when they first got it done!. pleas help any info is appreciatedWww@Answer-Health@Com

You should contact your piercer!. It may be infected, but not sure!. How long have you had your tongue pierced!? are you cleaning your piercing with non alcohol mouthwash!? are you using warm water and sea salt at least two times a day!? (one in the morning one at night) are you brushing your teeth!? flossing regularly!? are you eating broccoli!? (it some how heals piercings faster) all this will help help to keep your piercing free of infection & a faster healing process!. Sorry I couldn't really answer your question, I just never experienced that before!. But congratulations on your new piercing & good luck!

it will hurt like everywhere for a week or so!. mine was so sore and swollen that i could barely even swallow my spit!.

i never had that problem but its probably a nerve thing you tongue is going to b swollen for about 3 days so once the swelling goes down if itdoesn'tt go away see a doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
