Examination help!!!!!?!

Question: Examination help!!!!!!?
I have exams in two days they are mocks, They are 3 hours long!. There is only one problem I can only hold my bladder for 2 hours at any one time!. It started about a year ago all of a sudden my bladder can only hold for about 2 hours if i wait any longer i start to get really uncomfortable and i can't think straight because of it!. I have gone to the doctor bloods and the works but they say there is nothing wrong!. I don't know what to do as these exams are in two days and i am having two on one day!. I have tried not to drink as much but even if i drink nothing it still happens!. I always go to the toilets 5-10 minutes before the exam!.

I always feel hungry in the middle of the exams, i always eat a high fibre and good complex carbohydrate diet and no matter what i eat it seems like im still hungry and my stomach grumbles the whole time and it is really irritating!. Thanks oh and by the way im 16Www@Answer-Health@Com

I feel your pain on this one; I have sat many a long exam in my lifetime and have a medically documented small bladder! Thankfully I never actually wet myself during an exam (that I can remember anyway!), but there were some anxious moments, and probably one or two cases where my exam performance was less than 100% of what it could have been because of the distraction of having to hold my bladder during the test!.

If you REALLY can't hold it for more than two hours (regardless of whether your regular doctor thinks "nothing is wrong"), ask for a referral to a urologist!. They can check your actual bladder capacity, and either (a) prescribe medication that may help you hold on longer, or (b) write you a medical note you can give to the testing authorities indicating that you need to be allowed to use the restroom more often!. If you have a medical note then they are legally required to accommodate you, at least in the United States of America (not sure about other countries though)!.

If they are mock exams (meaning they don't count for anything "official") you could try just explaining your situation to the test proctor and ask if you could be allowed to go more often!. For a non-official exam there may be more leeway for this sort of thing than an "official" exam -- although it can't hurt to ask, even if the exam is of the "official" variety!.

As a very last resort, if you can't get a medical note or other waiver and the exam results are important to you, you could always get some sort of absorbent underwear designed for bladder control problems -- just in case!. Knowing that you have a "backup" measure in place in case you really can't hold it might be enough to help you keep to thinking straight; you might not even have to use them!. If it's a "make or break" test result, though, then you have to do what you have to do!

Finally, as far as drinking, I would recommend taking SMALL sips from a bottle of water if you are thirsty!. Having too little water in your system causes your body to make more concentrated urine which can irritate the bladder and make you feel the need to go more urgently -- so a little water intake might actually help you need to go a little less badly, compared to none at all!. Obviously you don't want to drink TOO much -- but there's no point in being distracted by being thirsty either! Still, you'll probably have to go no matter what you do (your body is what it is, and it's not easy to change something like that on short notice!), so it's probably still wise for you to take the other precautions outlined above!.

Good luck, I hope it goes well for you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
