What do they feel like!? how do u react to them!? Is there away for them not to hurt!? Please help because i haven't had a shot in almost 7 years!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I always tell my patients to think of their favorite song and sing it in their head!.I had one young man start singing out loud Ozzy's hit No More Pain!. I started singing with him, I gave the shot and he didn't even know until it was over!.LOL Just to be honest it's tender in that spot for a day or two but if your mind is else where you can get through it!.MMR's go in your armWww@Answer-Health@Com
I hate shots!. I never liked them and I freak out when I have to get one!. But last May when I was in the hospital for a severe headache they had to do blood work and give me an IV so what the children's help lady did is she got an I Spy book and opened to a page and told me to look for certain things while the did the shots!. Even if you're not a kid or teen, it really helps because it takes your mind off of the shot!.
There is also this numbing cream that is out there!. I got it once when I was really little!. You like rub a whole bunch on the area they are going to do the shot and then put a band-aid over it!. It sits there for a few hours, and then they take the band-aid off and whipe the cream away and give you the shot!. I swear taking the band-aid off hurt more than the shot! But it depends on what type of shot they are doing!. You have to ask your doctor if you can use it first!.
If you seriously don't remember what a shot feels like, then don't work yourself up about it!. If you tell yourself it will hurt, then it's gonna hurt more than it should!. My best friend's sister loves shots, she doesn't think they hurt at all!. Me, on the other hand, well lets just say that they need all of the nurses to hold me down =]!.

Shots don't usually hurt that bad!. Mostly they just hurt for the few seconds you're getting it!. Sometimes if they don't do the shot in the right place it will be sore for a few days, but with the really good nurses that usually doesn't happen!. If it does, take an Advil and try not to sleep on that side for a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They feel like a bee sting!. It is literally a momentary feeling of very slight pain and it's done!. The person administering the shot should gently insert the needle as opposed to "darting" it!. Don't keep you muscle tight and it will hurt less!. Your anxiety is building this up to be something it really is not!. Don't sweat the small stuff kid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Depends on where the shot is going, but I had one last week!. Just relax your muscles and don't look!. Best anyone can tell you to do!. If you tighten your muscles it will take more force for the medicine to go into your body, so just relax!.
