Question: Does this need stitches!?
I accidentally cut my leg while working with razor wire two days ago!.
Here are some images of it!. The first two are of the night it happened and the last is from tonight after it has started healing!.

I've kept it clean and tried to butterfly bandage it shut but it doesn't seem to be working!. Any advice would be appreciated!.
-It's not as deep as it looks in the second picture!. That's more of a trick of the light!.

Yes, you can get steri-strips over the counter!. I have purchased them at Wal-Mart and Walgreens!. They are good to have on hand!. I have had to use them on my children and myself!. Just make sure you continue to keep the wound clean!. There is also a product called New Skin!. It is a liquid bandage!. You can purchase it at just about any pharmacy!. It is also a good idea to make sure your tetanus shot is current!. They are good for 10 years!.
I haven't used New skin on that wide of a cut either!. I would use the steri-strips!. Steri-strips are different than butterfly bandages!. The butterfly bandages are basically in the shape of a butterfly and it has the gauze material in the center!. Steri-strips are small and narrow pieces of sterile medical tape!. To use them, you would clean the wound and gently dry the skin around it!. Try to close the wound as much as you can!. Then you would place enough strips over the cut in order to cover the cut and to hold the skin together so that the wound will grow closed!. The adhesive on the strips is strong, as long as the skin is dry when it is applied!. If the adhesive gives and the strips fall off, you can clean the wound and apply new strips!.
I have had good luck with the strips!. They can hold the wound closed almost like stitches!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think they would have put stitches in it, they have steri-strips, i'm not sure if you can get them over the counter or not, but they are great!. And they don't come off easily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Eh it's starting to get too late!. Doctors rarely stitch anything over 48 hours so if you really think that it needs to be then at least get it checked out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
my sister had a similar cut but they told her no stitches because it would heal funny but go get it looked at anyway because your cut may be bigger than the one my sister gotWww@Answer-Health@Com
