Answers:
Chewing gum makes you produce and swallow more saliva, which dilutes the stomach acid!. Drinking water has the same effect!.

You may have a stomach ulcer!. If so, the pain is caused by your stomach acid eating away at the raw spot on your stomach lining!. Ulcers can actually be deadly: a blood vessel may be worn away until you hemorrhage, or the ulcer could eat all the way through the lining so that your stomach contents get into your abdominal cavity, causing a terrible infection!.

Don't drink any alcohol or caffeinated beverages!. Drink water frequently throughout the day!. You can take over-the-counter medications like Pepcid to reduce the stomach acid!.

If you still have these symptoms after a few days, see a doctor!. Ulcers are often caused by a bacteria (helicobacter) which is treatable with antibiotics!. You might also need a test called an EGD (esophagastroduodenoscopy) where the doctor puts a camera down into your stomach and part of your small intestine!. During this test, the doctor can take biopsies of suspicious-looking places and cauterize bleeding spots!.

And if you throw up blood or have black poop, go to the emergency room! These symptoms mean you're bleeding in your digestive tract, which is very serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could be acid stomach, maybe the mint in gum helps!. Try carrying some crackers with you!. Keeping something in your stomach eats up the acid!. Also tums and such help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
