Answers:
Okay, so you want to be a doctor!. First, while you are in high school you need to take all the math and science you can!. You also need to make decent grades, so you get into a decent college!. In college you will probably want to be a biology major and chemistry minor, unless your college/university has a pre-med program!. I'd say yes, you need to be quite bright to be accepted into medical school!. In your senior year, you will need to take a test called the MCAT!. Your college GPA will need to be somewhere around 3!.5, and the MCAT will need to be around 9 or so at the least to gain admission to US medical schools as a rule!. Once you do get accepted to medical school, you will spend four years of school and a year of internship just to be a general practitioner!. Oh, you also have to pass a state medical board exam to get the liscense as well-just having the diploma isn't enough!. After that, you apply to the specialty training you want!. In your case, a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology!. Those residency programs usually run about 48 months!. After that, you take another exam to be board certified as an OB-Gyn!. If you manage to do it all in one go, you will end up ready to practice your dream when you are almost 30, and have racked up quite a debt!. So you probably ought to start saving now, and studying hard!. You can't afford a lot of social life, you want to keep out of any trouble with the law, and you really need to be single minded in shooting for your goal!. In the meantime, you might want to volunteer at your local hospital and find out if you really have the stomach for a medical career!. No point spending four years in pre-med to find out you are going to puke everytime you see blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
