i suck at falling asleep as well!.!.!.some things i do that help
listen to jack johnson!.!.!.not that i particularly like jack johnson, but his voice is very comforting or something!. (esp!. the song No other way)
also, as someone else said i daydream!.!.!.but not about feasable scenarios!.!.!.b/c then you'll start to worry about things in real life!.!.!.i usually imagine im floating or something, or talking with a really cool famous person!.!.!.something crazy
if this doesnt work, focus on your breathing!.!.!.then you can but an arm over your head and relax in that position!.!.!.once you get comfortable in that position press your finger to the skin that sticks out of your ear into your ear until you hear a ringing noise!.!.!.then stop and drift to sleep!.!.!.i've tried it a few times and it actually works!.
also try rubbing your stomach!.!.!.i read that somewhere

I have the same problem!. What works for me is not to drink any caffeine at least 4 hours before bedtime!. Don't exercise late in the evening!. It can keep you awake!. I read at least an hour before bedtime!. The reading relaxes you!. Sometimes I have to take an over the counter sleep aid like Sominex or Simply Sleep by Tylenol!. Take a Benadryl tablet on a night you don't have to wake up early!. You will sleep solid!. Don't mix sleeping pills with Benadryl!. That is a death danger!. Decongestants will keep you awake too!. Take those in the morning!. Please don't take the advice of taking Ambien!. That is a deadly and dangerous medication!. It is so easy to become addicted to!. I've known people that has nearly died from Ambien!. Glamour magazine had an article about a lady who got addicted to Ambien!. She couldn't function because of it!. She was falling asleep in the bath tub with water in it!. She was going out on dates and not remembering itWww@Answer-Health@Com
Try reading or watching TV!. Get your eyes focused on something that will make them sleepy!. You know, try going on the computer, the light is a good source!. Music makes me sleep when I don't want to!. Mainly acoustic or slow, you know, sad songs!. But anyways, try something like this!. Hopefully it'll help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drink a glass of milk and have some chips or pretzels!. It's been proven that milk helps you fall asleep!. Don't eat anything with sugar or drink caffeinated beverages!. Try not to think about the next day and let your entire body relax!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what i do is i daydream while im trying to sleep!. ive done it since i was 5, and its always worked for me :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
