Answers:
Claritin D is a decongestant plus an antihistamine (just Claritin is the antihistamine without a decongestant), so the post nasal drip is caused by the mucus from your sinuses draining out!. It sounds like it's just allergies for you, but there are actually several causes of post-nasal drip!. Mine is a combination of a deviated septum and allergies!. Sometimes it's caused by just a deviated septum!. If you suffer from frequent sinus infections and lack of drainage, you might want to see a specialist!. I spent years constantly suffering from sinus pain and post-nasal drip taking so many biotics and so many different drugs!. The first visit when I saw an ear-nose-throat guy (we don't have an actual allergist in our area) he instantly saw something wrong with my nose!. Then ordered a CT scan of my head and found 2 more physical defects that never would have been found and I would still be flip flopping between steroids and antibiotics!. I wish I had seen a specialist years ago!. So if the claritin D makes you feel better after the initial mucus is drained, awesome! Otherwise I suggest seeing a specialist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Allergies and Sinus infections usually cause a post-nasal drip!.

Claritin is an antihistamine, so I'm assuming your doctor thinks your have sinus allergies!.

Make sure you take the prescribed dose because it won't work as well if you don't!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
