Question: What happens if i get really drunk whilst taking antibiotics!?
I got given pennicilin today because i have tonsillitis
however on sunday i have a gig and i want to get wasted
can someone please tell me what could/will happen

Penicillin is not affected by alcohol, nor is their any interaction between it and alcohol!. However you do risk brain, liver and gastrointestinal damage due to the alcohol alone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you can get all types of side effects from the more subtle to the more extreme!. Your tablets might not work as they should and you could in extreme cases hemorrhage!. If you drink only a little and make sure you take the tablets a good few hours before you should be okay but to be really sure of no side effects stay off the booze till your off the tablets, then after go for your booze up!. You'll probably just need less booze to get wasted!.
As for what will happen, there's a good chance of at least one of the following:
You'll fall over!.
You'll throw up!.
You'll get angry!.
You'll get into a fight!.
You'll cry!.
You'll snog someone you wouldn't usually snog!.
You'll wonder how you got home!.
You'll wonder how you ended up in some random person's bed!.
You'll have a headache the next day!.
You'll have feelings of guilt!.
You'll have feelings of regret!.

The only antibiotic that reacts with alcohol is metronidazole but just because penicillin doesn't you really should not be planning to get wastedWww@Answer-Health@Com
