Question: My 2 year old is having surgery tomorrow and I had some questions!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
Ok, She is having dental work done (1 cap, 3 fillings and they have to cut the hangy skin on here upper lip because it has tied her upper lip to the here teeth causing a food pocket(and the cavities))!. lol excuse my terminology!.
ok we have to get to the hospital at 7:30am!. When we get there they are going to give her Valium!. What will this do and how long will it take to kick in!. The nurse said she wont remember leaving us!. They they take here from us, then give here gas, wait till shes out and then give here an IV to knock here out all the way!.
What can i expect, everyone tells me a diff story!.
What will the Valium do and how long will it take to work!? Will this keep here from being scared/upset when they take her!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The Valium will just relax her so she isn't afraid & takes 15 to 30 mn!. to kick in!. She will get sleepy!. She will probably be really sleepy when she come out of it also & more than likely they will send you home w/ something for the pain!. If she is potty trained you may want to put a pull up on her because sometimes they lose control of their bladder while under!. While she is under anesthesia they will monitor her heart rate & breathing!. She will be sore for a few days, but will be fine!. It's worse on you than her!. Also don't let her eat or drink after 10:00pm because she could get sick while under the anesthesia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
