Yes!. Started when I was 18, stopped when I was 25, started again two years later, and have been smoking ever since!.
When I used to see AA meetings on TV and hear someone say 'I'm an alcoholic--I've been sober for nine years' I would think that it was a load of crap, that they used to have a problem, they no longer do, and they are just showing off!. Then after I quit cigarettes for two years, picked up a pack to get me through a really rough weekend, and was never able to stop again, I had to admit that those AA folks were right!. You are an addict for life--stopping eliminates the problems addiction causes but the addiction stays with you, lying dormant until you give into the urge and feed it again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not addicted to the actual cigarette - I'm addicted to the nicotine in the cigarette!. Started when I was 16, quit for nine months when I was 18, started back up and been smoking ever since!. I am now 41 and wanting to quit, but apparently don't want to quit bad enough since I just came in from a smoke break!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
