Reason for hot flashes (at 19)?!
Question: Reason for hot flashes (at 19)!?
I'm 19 and a college student!. For the past two nights I've gotten hot flashes!. My face (especially my cheeks, right under my eyes) gets red and hot!. My chest gets pink and feels a little warm too!.
I'm not sure how long they last - it happened last night around 10pm while I was studying and was still happening when I went to bed around midnight!.
Now it's 10:30 and it started around 9:30 while I was just sitting and reading!.
Could this be a result of too much caffeine!? I had two cups this afternoon around 2pm!.

Are you due to get your period soon!? Do you have a cold!? That's not totally out of the ordinary to get a hot flash now and then!. I don't know how intense it was, but I'm sure it's not like a typical menopausal hot flash!. Your room may just be really hot and humid and you weren't able to cool off properly!.
When I have a cold sometimes I get like a hot flash and then a cold flash!. Do you feel cold afterward!?
Caffeine may contribute but it's been a while since you had the coffee, so I don't think that's the main cause!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you on a certain type of medication!? It could be another factor that causes your hot flashes!. Medication like prozac or other types of anti depressants could cause them too!. Call and advice nurse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
