Is there a difference between generic medicines?!

Question: Is there a difference between generic medicines!?
I have been taking Xanax XR for the last 2 months!. I lost my job, therefor my insurance and the cheapest place i could find it was at Wal-mart!. So Wal-mart was still $108 until I found this website "NLRxCard!.com" which made it $75!. I suggest looking at it if you don't have insurance!. After i got my medicine from Wal-mart, i feel like i'm going backwards and starting to get panicky again!. My question is has anyone had a bad experience with different generic medicine or know anything about it!? I think this medicine is just not helping because it is a different brand!. I know you get what you pay for but i didn't know if there was really a difference!. Any info would be greatly appreciated, i really want to get past this!. Thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
generic medicines are sometimes different!. Even though they contain the same amounts of the same drug that the brand name medicines do they dont always have the same 'bioavailability' which essentially means the amount of the drug that actually gets into the body in a form that the body can use may be different!. The only way to find out is to try them but if you get a different reaction or side effects then switch back!. The message from the study below is that if you are on brand name medications or generics then be aware that you could have different effects if you switch to the other!.
Also be very wary of internet pharmacy sites - there is no guarantees about what is in that tablet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generic medicines are generally the same!. They contain the same chemicals, but are not brand name, so they tend to cost less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no difference between generic and non generic!. Stop worrying and finding things wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's the same thing!. How can you get upset over something so simple!?

I never noticed any difference!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
