It's 5 am, my hall smells like smoke, but I'm not hearing the fire alarm!

Question: It's 5 am, my hall smells like smoke, but I'm not hearing the fire alarm!?
Any idea if there really is a fire, then shouldn't the fire alarm go off!? Nobody's in my hall, they all went away for the weekend!. It's too early, I just woke up, what should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you SERIOUS!?!? Have you CHECKED to see if you can FIND the source!?!?!? Your smoke detector could have dead batteries or something!! Try to find the source or get out of the house!! Also check any electronics you have plugged in that might get hot, last time I smelled a burning smell it ended up being that one of my small heater/fan things had fallen on its side and SOMEHOW the switch had gotten switched from the "fan" setting to the "heat" setting (it was the middle of summer and I HAD been using the FAN function)!. So check all electronics, electrical outlets, and, if you have a gas stove or water heater etc!. instead of electricity, check those out as well!. Just try to find the source of the smell!. Sometimes if you have central heat and air and the heat has been off a LONG time (as in the case of it beign summer or something) and you turn the heat on the first time it makes a burning smell, so if your heat got turned on accidentally, that can also cause a burning smell!. Just check everything and call the fire department if you can't find the source!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you smell smoke you should see smoke and a fire would be noticeable in a few minutes so if there's no other sign of a fire then you might want to call your doctor and tell him your smelling smoke i don't know if its of any importance but you never know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
