Take SSRI antidepressant!.!.!.it stops pain, cramps & diarrhea!.
Used to take Bentyl (dicyclomine) antispasmodic!.!.!.worked great!.
Try to reduce stress & anxiety which aggravates symptoms!.
Try deep breathing to calm self!.
Keep food diary for 2 weeks to figure out food triggers (I'm lactose intolerant & fructose intolerant)!.
Try to eat healthy!.
Use heating pad!.
Take lots of Pepto Bismol at once, if needed!.
Take good quality multivitamin/mineral!.
Take acidophilus for stomach!.

I had IBS for more years than I want to remember!. My Dr gave me Bentyl (it has a generic name now, if you look up Bentyl you will find the generic name,) He also gave me Librax when Bentyl stopped working (years later) also NuLev and there are more, I just can't think of the last one because I was allergic to it!. You can look up IBS meds on the net for some ideas!. My Dr started me out on Paregoric which you can't get anymore, VERY habit forming so Dr's won't give it to you now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
