Question: For those who smoke or smoked pot at one time how did you get started and why!?
I was asking myself why and how people get started!. I started because a friend of mine was really into it and he asked me if I wanted to toke up!. I've been clean for months now!. But I was just wondering what the overall consensus was!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started smoking cigarettes because of peer pressure!. I was young (high school) and all my friends were smoking!. None of them every offered or pressured me into smoking, but I guess I was influenced by them indirectly (especially when we sneaked out to drink on weekends)!.
In contrast to cigarette smoking, I tried weed on my own!. I had heard about it and seen movies like Half Baked!. Sheer curiosity I guess!. A non-toker friend helped me score!. Although after I had tried it, there were many friends (high school and college) who I smoked with as it was a social activity just like drinking!.
Bottom line: I guess smoking (weed and cigarettes) is a result of a combination of curiosity, peer pressure, and pop-culture/media portrayal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine was just out of pure curiousity!. I used to ask people all the time what it was like and stuff but was always to scared to try it!.!.!.then i tried it and ended up jumping in trash cans and i really liked it!. Ended up smoking for almost 2 years after that but am proud to say I have been clean for almost a year and a half now!.

i was young and curious!.!.!. but i have been smoking every day since i was 12 years old!.!.!. i know thats young but i hate when people say that its the start of using other drugs!.!.!. its only the start if you want it to be!.!.!. i have smoked for over 8 years now and i dont do other drugs!.!. i have a great job in an office where i make great money!.!. i go to work everyday!.!. my house is clean!.!. im a good person!.!. i just smoke to relax my mind!.!.!. I smoked pot because my friends did and I thought I was super cool!. Then I started smoking because I found a pack of cigs in my sisters purse, so my other sister and I smoked all of them (within a few days) and I quit when I got pregnant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
