How do you get swelling of the feet to go down?!


Question: How do you get swelling of the feet to go down!?
Mine are swollen because I have too much water weight on me(I was sick in hospital and I had to take steroids and they gave me iv fluids)!.

I can't ear my shoes because my feet are swollen so I wear my flip flops!. But my feet get cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is so neat KB,, they make socks!.!. as if they are gloves!.!.( yes!.!. I have a pair!.!.they are rainbow in color!.!. LOL)
put them on!.!. and u can still wear sandals or tongs!.!.
tonight before u go to bed!.!. take a warm bath!.!. then get pillows off the the sofa!.!. or get blankets put them at the foot of the bed!.!. slide down!. and prop ur feet up!.!. ( it is better to do this, a hr before going to bed)
cause it it hard to sleep this way!.!. and lay cross wise across the bed!.!. perhaps watch tv if u have a tv in ur room!.!. for a hr!.!.
try to go to sleep but it hard!.!. then if u can make time during the day!.!. do it for a hr !.!.
u can purchase a duriet or u can eat a lot of spinach!.!. which is good in iron!.!. prunes!? ouch
ck with ur dr!.!. or the internet on swollen feet, !.!. water weigh!.!.

Cold feet means poor circulation, but since you have to wear your flip flops you might want to take a pair of socks & cut the toe portion off so you can still do that!. If you can put on long socks, up to the knee, like tube socks, w/ the toes cut off you might feel some improvement!.

Elevation & drinking fluids to help flush the system are definite!

Since you just got out of the hospital, you should bring this up to your doctor!. You may need a prescription water pill!. But putting your feet up when you are sitting down helps!. ALso increase your fluid intake, it helps flush your system out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to lay down and elevate your feet about your heart!. use a big stack of pillows or lay on the floor and put your legs up on the couch!. Also drink water!. Drinking water will help flush out fluid retention!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Elevate your feet and advise your doctor of the situation!. He/she may prescribe a diuretic, which should help you eliminate the extra fluid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
