Is this normal for my tonsils?!
Question: Is this normal for my tonsils!?
My tonsils take up half the width of my throat opening when I say Ahhh!. So is that the normal for everyone!? Or should I have them looked at because they are not sore but always red!. Also I think they are causing OSA you know sleep apnea!. Serious answers please!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is not a normal size for tonsils!. In fact you need to seriously go to a doctor and have him/her check that out for you!. Your tonsils may not be sore but for them to be that enlarged and red could indicate something that needs attention!. As far as the OSA enlarged tonsils have been known to cause obstruction and furthermore that could lead to other health conditions( Heart disease!.!.etc) if not in check!. Sorry its not a normal state!. You need to talk to a doctor soon don't delay in any case!. Also clear your doubts on sleep apnea!. Sometimes it is found that nasal obstruction, a large tongue, a narrow airway, and certain shapes of the palate and jaw seem to increase the risk of sleep apnea!. Tonsil might also cause obstruction!. Better to go now rather than increasing the symptom!.
