ive seen it in the aisles and it is used to induce vomiting but u should use it cautiously because in the case of poisoning, some things are better left down in the stomach such as lyes and other caustic agents!.

You do not need a script for ipecac!.
It is used to induce vomiting, usually when you swallow something nasty that you weren't supposed to!. Even though that's the intention, it is not always safe to induce vomiting!. If you ingest something toxic, you should always call the poison control center or get to a hospital as soon as possible!.
