Second Hand Smoke from Marijuana?!
Question: Second Hand Smoke from Marijuana!?
Yesterday, September 24th, I went in for a drug test for my new job I just got hired for, last night when I eventually went home I talked to my mom and she told me because of my boyfriends Marijuana use, my drug test will show up positive!.
He doesn't use all the time and when he does I'm not usually in the room!. The last time I can remember was September 15th, we were outside and I was sitting a on the patio couch and he was in the chair, but I could still smell it!. My mom says that is enough for it to come up positive which would get me denied for employment, I don't do drugs and she's freaking me out about how it will be in my system!. What I need to know is, will it really affect my test!? how long does second hand smoke stay in your body!? What should I say if it does come back positive!? I am working around children so I don't know if they will allow me to work if my test is positive just from another person!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Passive inhalation !. In general, routine passive exposure to marijuana smoke will not result in a positive result for carboxy-THC!. Only under unrealistic conditions, a person may test positive for carboxy-THC, but concentrations are generally below the routine cut off levels!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, let me tell you this from experience!. My friend was on probation and took drug tests every thursday, he never did drugs but was always around it at parties n ****!. So the one day i went with him to see his prob officer and he asked him if that will affect his drug test (2nd hand smoking weed) and his probation officer said theres no way possible it will show up on the drug test unless he was sitting in a 4x4 box with him while he was smoking!. he said hes never seen it happen, sorry but ur mum is wrong!.!. no way possible!. i took a drug test 2 days after i smoked and it came back negative, its not possible!.
Another example-- my friend Shawn is in the army and came back a few weeks ago and we went to a party!. we were in the basement and they lit it up but a kid was like wait, arent you going to get drug tested!. Shawn said his sargent told him that he can be around weed all he wants and 2nd hand smoke it and it will never come up positive!. 3 days later he took one and was fine!. hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think your mom is an idiot and i think its disrepectful for the person above me to say she is when clearly she is just worried about you!. However i have never heard of this happening although feasilby i suppose it could!. If your breathing it in then it could show on a test (i don't know how the person above me thinks its gets in the blood stream for the person smoking it and not the person inhaling the 2nd hand smoke! Same lungs dip ****!!) I'm not too sure, maybe if it does show they will be able to see that it is in such a small amount that it must have been through passive smoking!. Did you ever feel stoned through the 2nd hand smoking!? Even slightly!?

Your mom is paranoid! The truth is, that though it's possinle to inhale enough that it could show up, the chances are, unless he's smoking non stop and you're inhaling it purposly, the chances are slim to none that wold occur!. If it does there are a number of other 'legal' things that can cause a 'false positive'!. Just insist that the truth is YOU do not smoke marijuana, and they will be required to do another test!. In that event, you stay away from your chimney smoking boyfriend till after the test and you should have a negative test result! Really though, don't sweat it! Your test will more than likely be fine !!!!! Another reason in my estimation that marijuana should be legal! LOTS of people do it, some (many) are in the legal and medical professions!
