Question: If you are staving to death and no food is available, can you eat one of your own limbs to survive!?

Well , if you had a physician to remove it for you and prescribe the necessary drugs to prevent infection and if you had a good chef from New Orleans to prepare it for you then you could make a tidy meal from an arm !. The blood loss would probably kill you before you had finished chewing!. If you were weak and thin anyway, then any shock to the body like that would probably kill you!. Also, in this situation, if you were also dehydrated, the blood loss=death thing counts even more!. Also, since you're just taking away your own nutrients (proteins and fats of the limb) only to eat the same amount again, it's kinda pointless!. The body would likley spend more energy trying to heal itself than what it gets from metabolising the limb-food!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah, that's what I was gonna bring out about the bleeding!. So one would keep eating body parts until help comes!? So what if help doesn't come, gonna die anyway!.
Well apparently it is a survival technique, we hear about it often of those who've eaten others and survived!. I think that's the safest part of the body to eat, don't start eating organs that's where problems can set in!.

But even if you didn't bleed to death, gang green would probably set in and you'd die from infection!. Unless you some how had some disinfectant!.
So whether you died from starvation or infection, you would still die a painful death, unless someone found you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
