The National Institute of Health says over 40 million Americans suffer from chronic, long-term sleep disorders, and an additional 20 million experience occasional sleeping problems!. The Epworth Sleepiness Scale is a test to measure how sleepy you are during the day!. Completing the questionnaire won't tell you if you have a sleep disorder, but it will tell you if further investigation and tests are needed!. The questionnaire can be found at

Answer the questions and then make an appointment with your doctor if you need a referral to a sleep clinic or neurologist!. A lot of sleep disorders are not readily apparent, but can have a huge impact on your quality of life if left untreated!. Sleep apnea can be fatal so do not delay seeing your doctor!.
I am narcoleptic with cataplexy and obstructive sleep apnea!. I stop breathing hundreds of times a night and did not know it until I saw the results of my sleep study!. I now use BIPAP and take medications to control the symptoms and I'm not sleeping 20 hours a day!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are a few reasons that you could be tired and one of them as suggested may be anemia and a simple blood test will confirm if you are anemic or not - if not other investigation is warranted
You could also without realising it also be suffering from depression which can make you feel tired - perhaps you are not feeling very joyful about your life
Another problem could be your thyroid - get it checked and if it comes back normal ask your physician to check you for specific thyroid function and ask for a T3 and T4 test - the ordinary one does not show it always
Another possibility is that you have sleep apnoea - if you snore and are waking constantly unrefreshed - then a sleep study will uncover if this is your problem and it can be corrected by using a CPAP machine
There is also a possibility that you may have chronic fatigue, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) or Fibromyalgia
Whichever way your health is headed it warrants investigation by qualified people to help you feel well and on top of things again
Here are websites on each of the conditions mentioned - have a read and see if anything rings bells for you and then make contact with your doctor for some tests and help
Good luck and good health to you - I hope you will feel better soon
