Answers:
True your body does rest and rejuvenate itself while you are sleeping, but your heart as well as your other organs continue to work and function while you are sleeping, your brain is active-you may dream while you're asleep, your lungs are working-you are breathing while asleep, your stomach is working and continue to digest and breakdown food you have eaten throughout the day-people even fart in their sleep, your kidney's are working to filter the waste and toxins from your blood, and the waste is filtered out in the urine which is collecting in your bladder as you sleep-this is why you have to urinate when you wake up!. The skin is an organ and that continue to work while you sleep as well!.
When you are resting the body's demand for oxygen decreases and this will allow you to breathe easier and your heart rate may slow down some, the heart rate is number that is always changing depending on the amount of activity you are doing, the more exertion, the more oxygen required by the heart, lungs and brain!. The heart will beat faster to meet the extra demand!. The normal heart rate for normal activity is somewhere between 60-100!. You have a rate that is specific for your body, feel your pulse and count the beats!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your heart rate lowers as does your blood pressure while you are sleeping!.
The resting rate of your heart during sleep is dependent on your resting rate when awake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your heart still pumps, just slower!. The rest of your organs don't always rest!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
