Question: Could i ever grow out of a lisp!!?
Okay, so i have this lisp, and im about 14 years old now, and i really hate it like i cant hear it when i say My ( s) wrong, but other people can always tell when they first meet me!
I was really wondering if i can get rid of it, or if im gunna grow out of it or what!?
I really Hate it, it totally takes my self confidence away, and self-esteem!
I heard there is speach therapy, but i dont know what to do!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get rid of a lisp with the help of a Speech-Language Pathologist!. A few months of speech therapy will help you!. Sometimes a lisp is actually a tongue thrust or a myofunctional disorder (a fancy way of saying tongue thrust)!. You can get therapy for free from your school or you can talk to your parents and see a Speech-Language Pathologist privately!. With proper evaluation, an SLP can create a personalized treatment plan!.

yes you can but my son was teased about his speech his voice was too high!. so he had speech therapy but it was kinda late so I think he might of taken care of it on his own but i think he should of had it sooner

my son has a really nice voice now

try practicing!. it mught help!. maybe a voice coach!. or what ever!. other wise, its not something yoy grow out of like an old t shirt!.

Speech therapy will help you a lot!. Without it, you will not grow out of it, you will just get used to it!. So get some therapy and do your exercises!. It will be gone within a year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
