Question: Do doctors take blood when you are scheduled for an MRI!?
I am going for an open MRI tomorrow, do they take blood as well!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not that I know of!. I've had several MRIs and never had blood drawn!.Unless your doctor ordered bloodwork,then I would say no!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am going for an open MRI next Friday for coccyx pain but mine is from a fall!. I fell in August and it is still very painful!. They are doing the MRI with and without contrast and they don't take blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is not necessary as part of getting an MRI!. If your doctors are running a series of tests to try to reach a diagnosis, they may draw blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they dont check blood but they might give you an injection of contrast!. its a simple needle shot u might not even need it!. idk ive had 2 and both times i got it!. its just to show things betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
