Short of medication!? None, really!.

For the most part, people are naturally either 'larks' or 'owls'!. Larks are self-described morning people, and owls are night people!. Few people fit into either extreme category, but fall somewhere in between the two!. There are several biological differences between the two!.

First is a chemical called melatonin!. Its a chemical our bodies produce to make us sleepy!. For most people, melatonin production kicks in around nightfall and shuts off around dawn, making them sleepy at night and awake during the day!. For owls, peak melatonin production hits right around dawn, making them groggy and slow to wake up in the morning!. This is where the medication that I mentioned before comes in!. Your doctor can prescribe melatonin supplements to help get your body back on track if this is a big problem for you!.

The second big biological difference is body temperature!. Did you know that your body isn't the same temperature all day!? When our bodies are the warmest we're the most awake!. For larks, body heat peaks around mid-afternoon, and decreases during the evening, making them sleepy after dark!. For owls, the peak hits around 8pm, making them much more alert in the evening hours!.

I could continue quoting research at you all day- owls have different circadian rhythms (sleep/ wake cycles), longer rem cycles ( a stage of sleep in which we dream), and tons more, but that wasn't your question!. Your question was how to change it!. Well, I wouldn't try to fight biology too hard!. See if you can change your schedule to fit!. Personally, I'm an extreme owl, so I adopted a work schedule where I don't go in until mid- afternoon!. It works well for my natural sleep cycle!. Can you do something like that!? If not, then are you still in school!? Its actually very possible that this is something that you'll grow out of as you get older!. People in their teens are very often naturally on an owl cycle!. As you finish puberty, you'll fall into your adult schedule and may switch to something that will work better for your lifestyle!. If not, you may want to talk to your doctor about a melatonin supplement to help get you back on track!. Good luck!

edit: Please ignore the people above who are saying that you are just lazy!. (or depressed!. Unless this is new, that probably isn't the case)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start going to bed earlier each night!. Also, find our your perfect sleep time!. Some people it may be 8 hours, some it could be 5 and 6!. (If you need 8 hours and would like to be up by 6, be asleep no later than 10)Give yourself this much time to sleep and you'll be a morning person in about a week!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to work out or do some exercises at the morning after waking up to get rid of laziness you are in and force yourself to sleep 8 hours or less a day!.!.!.!.!. ten days and it will be normal for you to wake at 7!.

Good Luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It just takes time!. In most cases people who dont have anything to look forward to the day simply like to slack while trying to wake up!. I would suggest sleeping six to eight hours at night, and getting a good hobby!.
