Asthma attack question please help?!

Question: Asthma attack question please help!?
I have been having an attack since Friday night!. I was in the Emergancy Room Friday night abit past midnight and they sent me home to continue breathing treatments every 4 hours!. I am usually put on Prednizone for attacks, along with my usual Xopenex Neb treatments every 4 hours!. Well, Saturday night the Xopenex was making me feel worse, and I had abit of a rebound reaction!. I was left home alone all day Sunday and ended up going into an even worse attack!. I was in the Emergancy room again, given two doses of Duel Neb, and a high dose of Prenizone in the ER, was sent home to continue a steriod burst treatment with the prednizone and Xopenex every 4 hours still!.

My question is - When I woke up this morning my left wrist felt a bit numb!. Through out the day it has spread up to almost my elbow and my right wrist has begun to go numb!. It doesn't really hurt but I feel pressure in my left wrist and weakness!. It's bothersome!. I am wondering if maybe it has to do with the Prednizone!?

Also, the Xopenex hasn't been working so well, I am still coughing, tight and have a hard time to get a good breathe!. I am exhausted from having to work to breathe but I can't sleep because of my asthma bothering me!. Anyone know a good way to get some rest, and to be able to breathe a bit better!? The only thing that helped was the treatments in the ER!. I know I have to give the steroiods a chance to work, but untill this, any sugestions!?

I am an 18 year old female if that helps!.
I've never experienced this numbness before!. Nor have I experenced this much of a hard time breathing for this long of a time!. It's been 4 days now!. I can barely walk around without feeling like I'm going to pass out!. I actually blacked out just walking 5 feet before I went to the ER yesterday!. My peak flows have been from 200 - 350 before treatments when they should be around 500, they go up to 450 after treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
