Question: My friend overdosed on valium last night, will she be ok!?
Last night, my friends sister overdosed on Valium!.
She wont get told anything, and she's really worried!.
Will her sister be ok!.
Her sister is my friend too !.
So I want to know too!.
Like, how long do you think she'll be in the hospital!?

It depends on how many pills she took!.
I'm not proud of the fact that I did the same thing but I took Ativan (a sister drug to Valium)!. I was hospitalized and was, thankfully, OK!. I'm not sure how many I took!. I was then transferred to a hospital with a psych ward where I stayed for 5 days!. I do not regret the 5 days I spent in the psych ward one bit!. They helped me a lot!. After that I had 18 months of counseling!. I have a good job and a good life now!.
I hope, if she pulls through, her family will not hesitate to get her the help she needs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Valium is benzodiazepine class drug or known on street as a downer!. This will make you eventually go unconscious and is a respiratory depressant ( will stop your breathing) hence you can die!. If you are saved before near death you can recover!. The question is how much damaged was caused prior!?!?!?!? If your blood pressure went to low or you stopped breathing, you have lack of oxygen to the brain --- you may or may not have brain damage, you can also have organ failure from lack of oxygen!. If you vomited while unconscious and had no no way protecting your airway and vomit went into your lungs ---- they will have to deal with a chemical pneumonia and people die of that also!. There are so many variations with different scenarios and outcomes!. Only the doctors can tell you what the prognosis is!. Your friend may come out this fine with no repercussions and not realize that she could of easily died!. Most of the time within 2-3 days you'll know what the prognosis is!. I hope your friend will be alright and hope she gets help!. Unfortunately I've seen to many people die this way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
