No, but it will generate more saliva and if it is mint flavored, this will taste supercooled and your breath will taste icy and you will be more comfortable while running!. It's also good when you drink water while chewing mint gum, it feels really icy!. I always do this when running!. Honestly, there's not a giant risk of choking!.
