Weak Legs Overnight? 3 Years old?!
Question: Weak Legs Overnight!? 3 Years old!?
My little cousin is going to the doctor on friday but I'm a little worried and can't wait to hear the results!.
He is 3!. He plays, runs with the puppies, and wrestles with his brother all the time!. Saturday morning when he woke up, he could barely walk!. He walks like an old man!. He can't run and the slightest bump with knock him over!. He can't walk up or down the stairs and he is FAR from running!. He says it only hurts a little bit durning the day but not much!. At night he wakes up screaming like he's dying saying that the back of his legs hurt!.
What could this be!? I'm really worried about him!. Have any of you experienced this!? If so, please share your stories!. He's already gone to the doctor and done X Rays and Blood Tests but we won't get the results until Friday evening!. Please, if any other you know anything about his, please share!.

There are SO many diseases that include muscle pain!. If he's not telling you how much it really hurts, and it's in his calves, it could be compartment syndrome, although that usually overuse related and I've never heard of it in a 3 year old!. Thyroid disease is another possibility, but again with the age!. Granted I'm 11 years older than him, but I do know what he has experienced!. Another possibility is pressure on the vegus nerve can cause a wide array of symptoms, including leg pain!. It's really interesting to me that it hurts so much more at night, although that could be caused from him lying flat!. I hope this helped even a little bit!. Good luck on Friday!.
