Question: How long do you have to take hydrocodone before having withdrawal when you stop!?
I have been taking hydrocodone for a period of about 6 weeks!. For the first few weeks, I would just take it every now and then (in fairly small doses) but for the last few I have been taking them a lot (and in much larger doses!.!.!.usually taking at least one every day)!. I have not taken any since Sunday and I have been having TERRIBLE withdrawal symptoms!.
I know that hydrocodone withdrawal can be very severe but does it make sense for me to be so seemingly addicted this fast!?
I'm talking I am extremely light headed, have headaches, nausea, jitters, sweats, chills, anxiety, and paranoia!.
Is this normal!?!.!.!.

Addiction depends on each person as an individual!. Although, 6 weeks is a long time to take such medication and the likelihood that you have become reliant on it is high!.
The symptoms you describe are common!. Although you fell lousy right now, do not take them anymore, the reliance could most certainly become even worse!.

i am sorry to say this but 6 weeks of taking hydrocodone on a daily basis is more than enough to form an addiction!. What u need to do is slowly start cutting back on the dosage!. Slowly ween yourself off of it until you have no more dependancy!. You will experience withdrawal symptoms!. I try to avoid opioids at all costs because I know how dangerous they can be!. If you still have pain, take ibuprofen!. The recommended dosage for ibuprofen is one to two tablets every 4 to 6 hours for pain!. But, depending on your body weight, you can safely take up to 1000mg (5 tabs) every 4 to 6 hours!. I am 6'2'' and weigh 210lbs male, and I take 5 tabs everytime!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
