Pharmacy dispensing error?!

Question: Pharmacy dispensing error!?
I took a prescription for lorazepam to my usual pharmacy!. I've never taken this medication before!. At home I noticed that the pharmacist dispensed 30 tablets instead of 15!. The doctor's script had an quantity order of 15!. Even the prescription bottle says Qty 15!. I counted the tablets because something didn't look right!. Behold, there's 30 tablets! Should I notify the pharmacy or do nothing!? Thanks for any serious advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unless you have a reliable prescription drug book and know how to use it, you should immediately call the pharmacist and alert them to your finding!. There may be a reason for it, or they may have made a potentially lethal mistake, which happens often enough!.

Is keeping them (or selling them) worth the possible catastrophe!?

many wouldn't think it was a problem!.!.!.lol!.!.!.but yes, i'd call and ask to speak to the pharmacy manager!. prior to that you might want to check the pill ID online @ http://www!.rxlist!.com/pill-identificatio!.!.!. see what milligram the doctor ordered then what the pill ID says!. just for your own info!.
many times pharmacy techs fill Rx and anyone can make a mistake!. the need to report it is to be sure the pharmacy inservices on the procedures for filling Rx and to make sure you do indeed have the right medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

check your dosage!. If you are supposed to have 15, and you got 30, you're probably supposed to take two at a time--or twice a day!.

If not, contact the pharmacy immediately!. You don't know if you even GOT the drug you were supposed to get if it really is wrong!! You could take something dangerous!.

Check the milligram, is it the same as the doctor ordered!. If it is less, hence the 30 tablets instead of 15 because you would need to take two to make the one!.
I wouldn't worry about it!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sell em!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
