Um, I know this is gross and all, but why do farts smell!?
This has been bugging me for a while, and I didn't want to ask my science teacher, since we're learning about minerals, and well, I'm not exactly going to say that

Its mainly swallowed air that is the basis of our average of half a litre of farts per day (about 14 farts!)!. Made up of Nitrogen and carbon dioxide the bacteria make all this into methane along with mercaptans, scatole & indole add to the smelly ones! The more sulfur rich your diet, the more your farts stink! Cauliflower, eggs, meat will clear the room, while beans produce more gas but less stink!. Its the warm (feeling to you) quiet ones that generally stink!! The big attention seekers generally dont smell as bad!. Have a 'Ripping' day!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
