Question: If you're a registered nurse then i need your help!! Best answer up for grabs!!!?
I really really really want to become a registered adult nurse!. It's my dream! Well, i'm still at sixth form at the moment and i'm doing Health and Social Care as one of my subjects and one of my assignments has been to devise a 5 year career plan and i have to set targets that i want to achieve!. Well, so far i've set all my targets up to year 4, and that's when i would be due to finish the nursing degree at university, but i'm stuck on the plan i need to do for the last year of my career plan!. This would be my first year as a registered nurse!. I need to set myself some targets that i want to achieve over my first year working as a registered nurse, but i'm a bit stuck as to what sort of targets i need to put down!. What sort of targets do you think i need to be aiming for when starting my first year as a fully qualified adult nurse!?
P!.S When i say targets, i mean something i want to achieve that will benefit me and the work i can provide!. For the plan for year 1 i made one of my targets about meeting all deadlines that are set so i can keep on top of all my work, but i'm so stuck as to what targets to put for year 5; first year as a RN!.

One of the goals that you should look at doing is being able to provide excellent patient care!.
1) Be able to meet the needs of the patients, and be an understanding person that is able to be a good listener, and empathesize with hte needs that the patients have!.
2) Never be too quick to rush through your work!. Make sure that you follow the steps that you learn in your training, and practice them through pneumonics that you create for yourself to remember these items!.
3) Practice good hygiene and good bedside manner!. Ask open ended questions, instead of guessing what people are trying to say to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
