If you eat or chew on it, you know them little packages in new shoes etc!.
Some kid at my school was chewing on it and nothing happen!. But I told him he will probably die, and from the way he was acting probably not the first time he did it!. So why is it dangerous!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I doubt that it's that deadly, considering how pretty-widely used it is!. However, I suspect that having that in your system is not a good idea; it may cause various symptoms or illnesses if swallowed!. It could also just be a choking hazard, or hard to pass out of your system!.
Either way, you probably won't die from eating them, so don't scare the kid too much!. ^^ But you can say there's a reason they label it "Do Not Eat" and find something else for him to chew on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
