A question about getting ear tubes? ?!
Question: A question about getting ear tubes!? !?
I have an appointment to see the ENT doctor at the end of this month!. Will he do the operation that day, or do I have to wait another month!? Also, do I have to put to sleep to have the operation done!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had ear tubes when I was a kid (like 5 or 6 at the time) I'd had several ear infections so that my family doctor sent me to the ENT doctor and it was a week or two later that my ear tube surgery was scheduled!. I was in-patient but I think I only stayed like a day ( I don't really remember that much about the hospital)!. Yes I was put to sleep for the surgery, I remember that part as I was lying on the table and they put a mask over my face and I breathed in something that smelled sweet and when I woke up my mom was next to my bed in the recovery room!. It really wasn't bad - probably the most annoying thing about ear tubes was the fact that I had to have ear plugs in all the time if I was going to have my head underwater (bath, going swimming - and I had mine done just before summer vacation)!. It's been 20 years since then so I don't know if technology has improved about the ear plug bit or not, but I wish you luck and it was an improvement for me not to have the pain of the ear infections all the time despite the annoyance of the ear plugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
