How long after a cold is gone is a person contagious?!

Question: How long after a cold is gone is a person contagious!?
We usually watch my 3 month old niece a few days during the week, but I've caught a cold a some point and I don't want to pass it on!. I don't want her to come down, just because I feel better, if I still might be contagious!.

Does anyone know about how long a person is contagious after a cold!? I just want to be sure so we know how long to wait before she comes down again!. Thanks =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It all really depends on you and your symptoms!. Usually a person is at their most contagious stage around the middle of the cold, that's when we actually start showing signs that we are sick!. And as long as there are signs that the cold is still there, you are still contagious, so basically this means, if you still have a little cough, a runny nose, or sneezing, then you are still contagious!. If you have absolutely no signs of the cold then you are in the clear!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doctor has said that if you aren't running a fever, you're not contagious!. However, if you are coughing or sneezing, you are!. Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and wash your hands often to keep from spreading germs!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
