It depends on whether your organs are still any good!. For example, if you die of cancer or an infection, they can't give out your organs to anybody!. (Obviously!.) If you like, you can stipulate that if your organs can't be used, your body can be donated to medical research!. (It also really saves on funeral expenses; all you need in that case is a memorial service!.)
If your organs can still be used, but you yourself have died, they'll put your body on life support (or keep you on it) while they check to see if you are compatible with people on the waiting lists for various organs!. If you are, they'll notify the recipients, take out the organs, and shut off the life support!. If the organs check out healthy, they're implanted in the people who will receive them!. The whole process is confidential!.

Then your organs go to someone that needs them, thats the whole point of being an organ donor!.!.!.!? Depends on what you die from, if you die from something that affects your whole body, then your organs may not be usable!. But if your heart gives out, then your lungs, liver, kidneys ect!. will still be usable!.
