My boyfriend feels really panicky?!

Question: My boyfriend feels really panicky!?
My boyfriend has complained about feeling really nervous, and panicky friday, saturday, and today!. He's never had a panic attack before, but I've described them to him and he says it feels like one; he has a sense of impending doom, his heart beats really fast, he gets really nervous, and has trouble sleeping!. He's also been having nightmares and keeps thinking he has all these weird things!. I've had panic attacks before, but usually for a reason, and usually not for three days!. He says he thinks it's because a girl in his class had some heart attack type thing in his friday morning class!. Is there anyway I can help him calm down, and when might this go away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello

Firstly I suggest seeing a GP (doctor), and secondly maybe ask him if there is anything different in his diet, habits, life style!.etc!.!.It could very well be a subconscious memory re-lapse or an event such as work, decease of a loved one (doesn't have to be recent), maybe a ex got married or had a child, something is on his mind

maybe teach ur bf some breathing exercises where he closes his eyes and breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth calmly and slowly, whilst trying to remember a event or time where he was in a happy place i!.e child memory, or beach on a beautiful day Www@Answer-Health@Com

id just listen to him and le him talk to you but dont give him any advice!. and panick attacks only last for 15 minutes!.!.!.!.i have them allll the time!. i never spend the night anywhere because the thought of being away from where im most comfy makes my heart race and it makes me want to cry!.!.!.but whenever i have them they only last a few minutes!. its not panic attacks!.!.!.!.id make him go to a doctor who specializes in this stuff!.!.!.i might go see one because of panick attacks!.!.!.and im 14!! It may pass on its own, or it may not!. If it does not then your BF should see a counseler or a doctor!. Panic attacks happen for a reason, though they may appear not to!. Something is "triggering" your BF!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It definitely sounds like a panic attack!. He should see a psychiatrist to at least get an anti-anxiety drug (possibly only short-term) like Xanax to calm him down until he can get to the root/source of his problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i though your question read "my boyfriend feels really 'pancakey'!?" and pancakes always get me really excited!. i love those little carbohydrate little buggers!. maybe that's what your boy need, a good heaping helping of pancakes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

let him know you understand him and that just because she had a heart attack doesn't mean he will, it's very rare for a young adult to have a heart attack and she probably had an underlying heart condition!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Time to go to the pound and get a new boyfriend!.

You could threaten him by saying you'll get an additional boyfriend!. I know a guy who's girlfriend did the same thing and it, sadly, worked on him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have panic attacks, much like his,but mine include crying:)

for me,they didn't go away until i saw a dr!. & went on meds!. maybe he needs to see a professional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Those are the classic symptoms of social anxiety!. It could be nothing but at least try and go to a GP!. You could also try getting some St Johns Wort!. It calms you down quite a bit and makes you sleep really well!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think there's anything you can do personally!. Maybe try massage, I dunno!. He should talk to a doctor and try to take some meds until he can mellow out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes it's easier to get a new boyfriend than to treat panic attacks!. Sad, but true!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
