Question: Can I go skydiving after spine surgery!?
Hi, I always wanted to go skydiving!. I had back surgery over a year ago, and at 5 months post-op my doctor cleared me of all restrictions!. I have 2 rods, and 6 screws in my low back and I was not sure if skydiving can cause damage to the hardware!. I am not going until next summer, and I will talk to my doctor at my next appointment, but I am curious to know now!.

I would not chance it!.Unless you have a perfect landing,there is a high possibility that the hardware in your back will twist and come apart;paralyzing you for life!.The parachute slows your descent,but you are still falling at a couple feet per second!.Try a hot air ballon ride instead,it's much gentler on the back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
