Question: How old were you when your parents spoke to you about drugs!?
How old were you when they told you about the dangers of drugs!? And if you have kids, how old were they when you taught them about the dangers of drugs!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

ever since i was little, im pretty sure my parents have mentioned to eachother or other people about drugs in my presence!.!.!.for ex!. they would say something like "oh, wow!. thats what drugs do to you" when we would walk by like a crazy ranting person on the streets of san fran (realistically, this might not have always been the case of these people, but it was more of a scare tactic)!. as i got older and into middle school they would be like "dont do drugs because!.!.!.!."!. i think this made a big difference to me because i knew WHY they were bad, not just THAT they were bad!.
now, i am 16 and in high school and i have never even considered doing drugs and if i know of anyone who has or does do them, i, first of all, do not associate with them outside of school, and second of all, i usually bring up how bad what they are doing is!. sometime they will think im a snob, but mostly people respect me and i have lots of friends and good social life without doing drugs or drinking!.
i think i have way more fun then the people that do!.
so i think what really got me here was my awareness from a young age that drugs can f*ck you up and my parents' open discussions with me as well as always answering my questions rather than brushing them off as stupid etc!.!.!.

as soon as they start "seeing" and questioning about the dangers of life- or if they have a direct question!.!.!.it's like sex- it's never too early to start if they have a question- the big key here is age appropriateness! i think i started seeing stuff at an earlier age- because i question my mom's smoking habit- and they do "drug awareness" like from the first grade up!. but, it's all relative to age, once again!. my parents told me when i was asking about my biological parents- and that was like when i was 9 or so!. i speak to my step kids when the opportunity presents itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I guess theres things you realise on your own by a certain age, and you need'nt be told everything!.
I have friends who smoke like chimneys, but I dont!.
Not on moral grounds, but being in Med school, I know the horrors that can happen to you If you do drugs or mere cigarettes!.
