Question: How should I prepare for my Medicaid hearing next week!?
I was denied for Medicaid because I receive unemployment benefits!. I don't receive enough to buy regular insurance so I filed an appeal!. Anyone know how I should prepare for the hearing!?
I guess I should bring documents to show how little money I have left over after rent (I rent a room)!. Anything else!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Proof of income-your gross pay before any deductions!.
All expenses, both medical and home related
All proof of bonds, stocks, etc!.
Proof of homeownership-if you rent you will need a receipt-if you live with parents, a note stating that fact!. I just reread and you rent!.!.just take a rent receipt!.!.!.they figure out what you have left over!.
Phone bill!.
Electric or gas bills
Proof of death benefits (Insurance)
Expenses for medications and doctors, tests ran, etc!.
You bank balance!.!.!.they know your expenses come out of that so no need to fudge on this one!.
Your social security card
Birth certificate!.
Amount of insurance that you can't afford
I have been through this and honesty goes a long way toward you winning a judgement!.
