Is fluffy white mold on food very dangerous if eaten?!

Question: Is fluffy white mold on food very dangerous if eaten!?
the mold im asking about was thin and hairy looking, and consistent white in color!. found it on a chocolate cupcake!. my mom ate one before noticing the cakes were hairy, and that there was no expiration date on the box!. i wanna know how harmful this kind of mold is ( if at all )

I was under the impression that white fuzzy mold ( like whats common on bread) wasnt too bad or nearly harmless!. whereas dark black or brown / green mold could be toxic and was cause to worry!. is there any truth to that!? and should we worry about the white hairy stuff!?

and yes, we're gonna take them to the store we got them from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Understand that there are thousands of different types of mold!.

Bread mold is toxic to a lot of organisms, but not humans!. This is where penicillin comes from, and this is why it was once very useful for fighting infections ( outside organisms within the body)!.

Unless you want to take it to a lab, I don't think there is any way for you to find out precisely what it is!. My gut says that your mother will be fine, as long as she didn't eat a pound of this mold!.

The mold is probably dangerous to some extent!. As to how dangerous, well it depends on how thick it is!. You've stated that there's a thin layer, so it may not be as deadly as what you stated afterwords!. Your mom might want to confirm with a doctor that she's okay, just as a precaution!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not so very dangerous!. You're right about the black stuff being very bad for you though!. White mold is just not very tasty and better avoided than eaten!.

Don't just go to the store!. Write a complaint to the company who made them as well!. You might get a box of goodies send to your house as a means of apology :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
