Question: How do u recognize fetal tissue!?
Went to the doctor and she could not hear fetal heart beat!. She asked me to wait for the body to do it naturally and also asked me to collect fetal tissue for testing!.I was 9 weeks pregnant!. Why didn't my doc do the D&C immidiately!? and how am i supoused to collect this fetal tissue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would guess that on the chance that the fetus is alive, and she just isn't hearing the heartbeat, she can't afford to risk performing a D&C which could turn out to be an abortion of a live fetus, so she is allowing for it to be spontaneously aborted!. If you begin to have symptoms, and bleed,, she wants you to collect the blood to be examined for presence of fetal tissue to verify the pregnancy and determine whether a D&C is needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Are you bleeding and having symptoms that would suggest that you are trying to miscarry or is she just not hearing a heartbeat!?!? You will more than likely know when your body is attempting to expel the contents of your uterus and the resulting contents!. All you really have to do is tell the doctor what you want, and if that would be a D&C, then tell her!. And if she won't do it, ask her to send you to someone who will!. I don't know what her logic must be in wanting to examine the tissue anyway, and if she wants to examine the tissue she can do a D&C!. Simple!. You don't have to collect the tissue unless you want it examined!. She sounds pretty unsympathetic!. I am sorry for your loss and good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
