Question: I've been bruising really easily and I have bruises everywhere!!?
I've been vegetarian since February and I was doing fine eating all my fake meats and stuff!. But I haven't!.!. do you think I've been bruising really easily because I don't get enough protien!? And do you think I can get really sick!?
I'm not going back to being a meat eater!.!. I'm sticking to being a vegetarian because I don't want to eat a helpless animal!.!. I don't eat anything with meat products in it either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it probably is anemia!.!.!.which is from lack of iron!.

Meat would help but there's more ways to get iron!. Cream of wheat has iron!. So does most commercial bread and pasta and breakfast cereal!. These are artificially enriched!.!.!.the natural food doesn't contain iron, but they add it in the processing!.

Spinach!.

Or just a supplement or a health shake every day (not sure the ingredients if you would oppose anything in these, even capsules have gelatin which is a nono for veg)!.

I admire your choices, really but if you want to stick to your principles as a vegetarian you have to take your nutrition that much more seriously!. When you eat meat you can almost take for granted that you get adequate protein and iron!. When you don't eat meat you have to make a point to get these into your diet!. Not keeping up with this stuff just makes it harder to avoid craving the foods you don't want!.!.!.because your body remembers meat and knows that it needs nutrients that meat used to provide you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is from not eating meat!. Try to eat foods that have
things with the stuff meat has, like:
Protien: peanut butter, nuts

B-Complez Vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, biotin, vitamins B6 and B12, pantothenic acid and folacin) are trickier- you may have to take suppliment pills!.

Iron: this last one is one of the most important!. Tofu, Whole Wheat Bread, dried peas/beans,
and green, leafy veggies are substitutes to eating meat!.
If you don't like tofu, put it in lasanga!. That's what i do and it's great!.

It's cool that you're a vegitarian!. I would be, but it's so hard! Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if such is the case, you must be having some fragile blood vessels and capillaries!. have some consult with your doctor soon!. dont let it pass without seeing your doctor!. it needs urgent attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
