Question: Does it sound like I've dislocated or broken my tailbone!?
I can feel a round lump like bone just to the left of my tailbone area!. I cant sit down, it doesn't hurt to touch but kills after and I can feel the lump when Im walking!. Does it sound like Ive broken or dislocated it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you may have just stubbed it up really bad, or fractured it, nothing docs can do you just have to wait it out!. takes about a month or two to heal

If it's appeared following an injury, then maybe and it will take four to eight weeks to heal!. Whether it's broken or not, there is no treatment for it unless the injury is more serious, and all you can do is rest and take painkillers!. In the UK, you wouldn't normally even be x-rayed for it as the x-ray won't alter the treatment for the injury but does add an unnecessary risk of damaging your gonads!. Note that doctors will still often routinely refer this kind of injury for an x-ray/CT scan, but radiographers/radiologists have the final decision and will normally refuse to do so!.
If not then it may be an abscess or some other cause which may require treatment or even surgery!. In these cases a CT scan may well be justified!.
