Actually it already is a reality!. I know a lot of doctors offices that have laptop-like devices where they record vitals, diagnoses, care plans, and can email your prescription directly to the pharmacy of your choice!. I work for a home health agency that has hand held nursing devices that we bring into the patients homes!. These computer systems are expensive, and there must still be a paper backup of the charts in case something happens to the electronic system!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
That is definitely already a reality! Most doctor's offices use electronic records!. Even a lot of hospitals do this now!. i know the hospital i work for is in th process of converting to paperless records!Www@Answer-Health@Com
