Something in my throat that I can't cough away?!

Question: Something in my throat that I can't cough away!?
I started choking in my sleep on my own saliva (I assume) because I woke up coughing and I felt like I inhaled a bit of water!. Now I keep coughing to try and get that feeling that there is something in my throat but nothing is happening!. I feel that lump of liquid or something there but it wont go away and I can't sleep!. Does anyone know what this might be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your irritating your throat by continuing to cough, do you have a cough drop or other lozenge if so taking it may relax your throat!. You could also try tea or another warm drink!. If it doesn't go away and your cough gets worse you should go to your doctor!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like something is swollen in your throat - the coughing is possibly stretching the muscles in your throat and keeping it swollen because it does not get the chance to heal
Until you get to a doctor - you could try sucking on some ice to see if it helps to soothe and reduce the feeling in your throat

I had a similar problem for a while, one that kept me from swallowing well- it turned out to be eosinophilic esophogitis, buildup of scar tissue in the esophagus that prevents it from working properly!. See your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try eliminating any fuzzy bedding and vacuum your bedroom completely!. Chase out all those dust kitties under the bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
