Question: I have Chronic IBS, Help!!?
i have chronic IBS and everyday i wake up and i look 5 months pregnant!
any way to stop the bloating!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

try ground flax seed (make sure it's ground, not whole, to get all benefits, is from health food shops, need 30g per day (two dessert spoons which you can add to cereal, soup, yoghurt, etc) and tablets like windeze - designed to get rid of gas!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

avoid fizzy drinks, beans, lentils, fruit and veg (esp if raw - things liek cooked broccoli isn't bad - so you still get vits) and (avoid at all costs) salad!.!.!.don't eat too many eggs cos they block you up!. don't over eat - 6 have small meals a day!. consider a digestive aid yoghurt - the ones that have bacteria in - but don't go over the top with dairy products as they give you gas!. i personally think they can be a cause of some problems!.!.!.!. and don't drink soya milk!

best advice: have a hot drink and two min later, sit in the squatting position for a while (reading a magazine, filing your nails or whatever), bum towards the floor, sitting on your heels - it will make you lose the gas and you'll need to go the toliet!.!.!.!.takes about 5-15 min!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Isn't it amazing the scope of treatments suggested for this condition!.
I will widen the scope still further by suggesting you eat wheat bran,mixed with other cereals in the morning!.Be warned wheat bran tastes like cardboard,but what it does is help everything you've eaten pass through your body and get rid of all the bad stuff!.
I would advise you to check with your G!.P!.first to see what he says!.

You need to see a gastroenterologist!.!.!.he may give you medications like motilium etc!. If your bloating is caused by constipation, then he may prescrible something to improve it!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop all dairy produce,reduce any stress, this is a known factor of ibs,
get mebeverin from gp , and drink lots of mint tea ,good luck Www@Answer-Health@Com
