Depending on which arteries are being investigated, they have to cut the artery wall to insert a probe or at least inject dye!. The artery normally heals very quickly, but there is a small risk of arterial bleeding which could be nasty!. So they keep you in and monitor the wound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You don't - it's usually an outpatient appointment, you should only be in for an hour or two barring complications!.
